These illustrations were made for the children’s book Heldinnen by Janny van der Molen for publisher Ploegsma, about important female figures in history. They depict Manal Al-Sharif, a Saudi-Arabian activist fighting for women’s rights in her country, and Marie Curie, two-time Nobel prize winning physicist and chemist.
